Coffee and service

• Prepare coffees to a consistently high standard
• Prepare other drinks and snacks that are made behind the counter/bar
• Greet and serve guests that sit by the bar or that walk up to the bar to order
• Keep the counter/bar clean and presentable at all times
• Ensure the espresso machine is well stocked and functional
• Provide excellent customer service: greet guests on arrival, take timely orders, deliver food and drinks, and answer customer questions and feedback in a professional manner.
• Deal with any customer complaints in a friendly and professional manner, always replace food or drinks immediately if the customer is not satisfied
• Provide bills and take payments in a timely manner
• Promote merchandise to guests

Cat care

• Feed cats several times throughout the day
• Ensure water bowls are full at all times
• Clean litter trays several times a day
• Keep an eye on cats and guests to ensure no cat is being annoyed or abused, and that they are generally in a good condition
• Perform basic veterinary care if needed
• Contact manager in case more advanced vet care is needed for one of the cats

Closing business (daily)

• Turn off equipment, clean tables, stack chairs, sweep and mop floors and clean bar/dishes.
• Hang laundry, clean bathroom, clean furniture with sanitizer and vacuum cleaner, balance cash drawer and lock up.
• Before leaving the premises, clean litter and ensure all cats are well and have food and water for the night

Ministry of Cat, Phnom Penh’s first rescue cat cafe and adoption centre, aims to provide a foster home to former homeless cats while promoting their adoption, so that they can eventually find a forever home. Guests will be able to enjoy their daily coffee and all-day-breakfast whilst relaxing in the company of feline friends.
The cafe will have up to 10 Cambodian cats living in the cafe, that are ready for adoption (including all vaccinations).
We are looking for friendly, enthusiastic, cat-loving, all-rounder service staff to bring a great vibe and excellent customer experience to our soon-to-open rescue cat cafe (opening late March 2019).
The ideal candidate is able to work hard to make sure all aspects of the job are performed to a high standard, including making coffee, serving customers and looking after the cats' well-being at all times.
